Air check valve

Ancient method of blowing air into various objects using breath They would get air to blow into balloons or other items to make them function. But in current days, we have machines that can assist us pump air much quicker and simpler. Such a machine is called an air compressor. This is particularly great for a lot of activities (inflating tires, powering tools, etc. But also, did you know an air compressor needs something very critical in its journey toward performance, called an air check valve? Let’s learn together why this valve is super important.

An air check valve is an essential component of your air compressor. Other way you can imagine this is like a guard, or you can say gatekeeper for your machine. Its purpose is to ensure that air enters only one way — into the air check valve compressor. If air attempts to flow back out, the valve will close and prevent that. These are very important because allowing air to flow backward into the compressor can damage the machine and cause a loss of functionality. In the same way a door keeps things in, the air check valve keeps your compressor safe and in good condition.

How to Test and Maintain Your Air Check Valve

Absolutely, when we are going for regular medical check up, our air compressor also require servicing to ensure its proper functioning. Phase 1: Your compressor should be off to test your air check valve. Then unhook it from any tools or hoses you have attached to it. After, you might blow the hose connecting with the compressor. You should be able to blow air through the hose and into the compressor. But if you feel air blowing back out of the hose, it indicates there’s something wrong with the check valve and you may need to replace it.

Pneumatic systems are special systems that draw power from air to fuel various machines, tools and vehicles. Some construction tools, for example, utilize air pressure. In these systems, air check valves serve as a critical component, controlling the movement of air and the pressure within the system. In case there was no check valve, then air might backflow which may lead to system damage. This ball check valve may cause it to become unsafe to use, and nobody wants that.
